Dominance has a name: Peter Schiergen |
He dominates the 2022 racing season like no other, and the competition should be getting pretty anxious by now in view of the rarely seen dominance. Only one week after winning the Grand Prix of Bavaria at the highest level, the successful coach from Cologne also won the Duke of Ratibor race. All four two-year-old tests of the weekend went to the Asterblüte stable.
78 victories and an average of 24 percent speak a clear language (as of 14.11.). Without Peter Schiergen, who is outwardly very reserved, but so incredibly effective and successful, little would work. There were times when Henk Grewe collected victories like other stamps, but the wheel has shifted in favour of Schiergen, who was already an exceptional jockey as European record holder.
And there are still big events to come, like the Japan Cup on 27 November with Tünnes. Obviously, a top-class team has been found here. Because stable jockey Bauyrzhan Murzabayev also transforms almost everything, has long since cracked the mark of 100 wins this season. Both are people who shine not through their words but through their deeds.
So the Schiergen family`s usual Florida holiday in winter should be a very special celebration. Because when things get a bit quieter, there is also time to enjoy such grandiose triumphs, for which there are hardly any other opportunities. Everyone needs to recharge their batteries. Peter Schiergen has certainly earned it.
