Bringing the legends back on stage!
The Superbowl final last Sunday in Phoenix/Arizona once again thrilled American football fans. When it comes to atmosphere and staging, the Americans are always doing something new for us. This sport is also becoming more and more popular here and will even be broadcast on RTL from the coming season.

This is the latest example of how a broadcaster is bringing a sporting metier to even larger audiences. The Cologne broadcasters did something similar in the past with boxing or ski jumping. But gallop racing in Germany can learn something else from American football, Formula I or tennis. Here, the former greats are once again brought onto the big stage.

Whether it was the great tennis player Billie Jean King who presented the winner`s trophy at the Australian Open, ex-football or motor sport stars who even conduct interviews with the professionals of the modern era at the award ceremony - one is happy to see people again who were figureheads in their sport.

When jockeys or trainers retire in the German Turf, you usually only see them as visitors. How about the one or other appearance of a living legend at the biggest races of the year? Uwe Ostmann, Hans-Jürgen Gröschel or Lutz Mäder, to name just three, would certainly still have something to say or would be happy to award the new top performers, whether after the Derby or a Group I test. Gladly also local audience favourites. And the public is interested in how they are doing these days, after all. If you invite them and pay the essential travel costs from the racing club side, that wouldn`t be an impossibility. Legends belong back on stage!
