Deauville, Sunday, 6 August: The summer meeting in Deauville will produce the next top highlight today. The Prix Maurice de Gheest (5th race/16.25/380,000 Euro/1300 m), which belongs to Group 1, gathers ten horses at the start.
Last year`s winner was Highfield Princess, who had pinned the King George Stakes (Group 2) to her banner at Goodwood on Friday. Spycatcher (Maxime Guyon), who successfully rehearsed in the Prix de Ris-Orangis (Group 3) here, could follow in her footsteps. Trainer Karl Burke will also saddle Cold Case (Clifford Lee), who won at Ascot at Group 3 level. Art Power (David Allan) impressed in the Sapphire Stake (Group 2).
